It is the philosophy of Wabash Valley Girls Softball League that girls are capable of strong personal commitment, emotional toughness and athletic excellence. Athletic excellence is the development of a players' innate athletic ability to its fullest potential. It is our purpose to assist girls in attaining these goals by providing an opportunity for them to learn and play softball in a program, which promotes self-responsibility, citizenship, friendship, and fair play among all participants.

We believe that coaches should combine patience, positive reinforcement and encouragement in order to instruct players in the sport of softball. Anger, foul language, or oppressive negative attitudes will not be tolerated as a means of coaching.
